Objective

To provide students with the opportunity to acquire the most up-to-date knowledge and develop skills and competences in the application of legal principles and norms, apply legal methods, develop skills required by a lawyer in legal analysis and solve cases.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

After completing this study course, students are able to demonstrate extended legal knowledge and understanding of the specifics of the application process of the respective regulatory enactments. Additionally, studying the part on the current developments in legal theory, the student acquires knowledge of the importance of legal theory in the professional practice of a lawyer.

Skills

Students are able to apply legal theory and legal methods in order to be able to work independently and solve specific cases successfully. Students are able to explain and discuss findings of legal theory with both specialists and non-specialists. In addition, students strengthen the skills necessary to distinguish legal facts from other information, as well as the skills to apply their knowledge independently to substantiate and defend certain types of conclusions.

Competence

The main competence students acquire by completing this study course – the ability to deal with various types of legal dilemmas and cases. In addition, by solving relevant cases, the student is able to substantiate their actions and use relevant legal terms by linking the findings of legal theory and practice. Students are able to independently use the theory, methods, and problem-solving skills acquired during the study courses in their work in order to carry out research work and carry out highly qualified work professionally.
