Broaden students knowledge of logical thinking, its social contexts, key elements and application opportunities in legal science and research.

Prerequisites

Legal Theory.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Students acquire knowledge of the subject of logic, certain semantic categories (terms, expressions, and operators), deductive and inductive conclusions, and the structure of the reasoning process and the diversity of the laws of logic.

Skills

Are able to deal with logical problems with terms and expressions, are able to use the rules of logic in recognising deductive conclusions, to find quickly arguments for theses to be substantiated.

Competence

Are able to understand the laws of logic, develop arguments and conclusions, able to identify semantic categories of logic in legal texts.
