Study course description
Preliminary Knowledge:
Basic knowledge in epidemiology, public health, biology, microbiology, infections diseases and environmental health.
The course aims to increase the knowledge on the principles of epidemiological surveillance and control of infectious diseases and on measures to be taken to control the epidemiological situation of emergency. Course topics: epidemiology of infectious diseases; surveillance and control of: acute intestinal diseases; infectious air-borne diseases; zoonoses; hepatitis and HIV/AIDS; nosocomial infectious diseases.

Competencies:Develop epidemiological control and action plan to assess and handle complex emergency situations of infectious diseases.
