Objective

To provide students with knowledge of the psychological regularities of human relationships. Help to acquire practical skills of active listening, public speaking, teamwork, conflict resolution, interaction with people of various personality types.

Prerequisites

Psychology at secondary school level.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

The student describes the concepts of communication psychology, explains the basic problems and facts analysed in communication psychology, analyses theories in communication psychology; explains the theory and practical application of communication psychology, critically evaluates communication psychology in contemporary context.

Skills

Uses various terms in communication psychology; explains socio-psychological phenomena in everyday situations, analyses their causes and possible consequences; explains the mechanisms of interpersonal influence.

Competence

The student explains the constructs, theories and terminology of communication psychology, applies findings and conclusions of communication psychology in research.
