Objective

To enable the students to use the Russian language in daily communicative situations at Level A1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Language Learning, Teaching and Assessment.

Prerequisites

The course is designed for complete beginners, no preliminary knowledge is needed.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

On successful completion of the course, students will know some basic Russian vocabulary, ways to make simple statements and questions, commonly used syntactic structures, the rules of producing the present tense forms of Russian verbs.

Skills

On successful completion of the course, students will be able to understand simple texts on the familiar topics of daily life, to use the acquired language structures in daily communication.

Competence

Having acquired the course material, students will be able to communicate some basic information about oneself and daily activities, they will be able to produce monologues and dialogues on some daily topics.
