Before you leave home, please make sure you have arranged everything you need to move to Riga (e.g. visa, health insurance, travel, budget, bank cards, lab coats etc.).

Settle Payments (Full time students)
Complete your payments by this date. All payments must be settled in order to prepare all your study related technical and documentation items (student ID, official enrolment documents, etc.).

Read the RSU Welcome Guide
You will find a lot of useful information in the Welcome Guide. Most questions that students ask during their first weeks of studies are already answered in this guide.

Getting to RSU
Getting to the university from Riga city centre is easy and takes only about 15 minutes. Check out the public transport options in Riga and our suggestions.

Read RSU policy
Please read the RSU Academic Regulations and RSU Internal Rules of Studies.

During Orientation Week you will be asked to confirm with your signature that you have read these documents and accept their terms.

Pre-courses (optional): Chemistry / Biology / Physics / Latin / Latvian 

RSU Orientation Week will take place online from Wednesday 26 August to Friday 28 August 2020. It is designed to introduce you to the University, your classmates, student life, and Riga.

  • Please note that Orientation Week will take place online and you will be able to join it from your home country; 
  • We strongly recommend that you join the Orientation Week and take part in the various activities scheduled in the programme;
  • Below is the preliminary programme of the Orientation Week;
  • Before the Orientation Week we will send you the general information and instructions for joining the event;
  • All the information will be sent via e-mail (if you have submitted your application through an agency, please make sure that the university has your PRIVATE e-mail address!)
