Assessment | |||||||||
Unaided Work: | Attendance of classes, group work and individually assigned independent work. Prepare for classes using e-learning environment and scientific literature. Completion of the course evaluation questionnaire. | ||||||||
Assessment Criteria: | The cumulative rating is made up of: -Lesson attendance and participation in group and individual assignments (50%); -Average arithmetic result in test questions (50%). Both components of the assessment are equally important, each accounting for 50% of the final assessment. At the end the mark is determined by converting the percentage assessment to the mark in accordance with the Study Regulations. | ||||||||

Learning Outcomes | |||||||||
Knowledge: | As a result of the study course, students acquire basic knowledge in public health and epidemiology guidelines and strategy, and in the organization of the health care system. | ||||||||
Skills: | Students will be able to: • apply public health concepts, terms; • use the concepts and terms of epidemiology; • apply appropriate knowledge in patient education; • choose the most appropriate health care recommendation for the patient. | ||||||||
Competencies: | Upon completion of the study course students will be able to apply practically acquired knowledge in patient care, will be able to formulate public health definitions, concepts, will be able to develop preventive recommendations for patients and logically formulate and explain the meaning of epidemiology. | ||||||||
