The new academic year has begun

The new academic year 2023/2024 at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) began on Monday, 28 August, at 15.00, with an opening ceremony in the forecourt of the University's Main Building at 16 Dzirciema iela.

Students felt both elated and festive at the same time as they met with the university management and teaching staff, enjoyed a cake offered by the RSU Student Union (Studējošo pašpārvalde, SP), received their planners, and watched performances by the RSU folk dance ensemble Ačkups and the mixed choir Rīga.

The young people, who are now full-fledged students of RSU, reflected that the event created a festival atmosphere and they were excited to start the new academic year dancing to the rhythm of the group Sudden Lights.
