Aim

The aim of the project is to assess the international reactions to the 2020 post-election crisis in Belarus and the Euromaidan crisis in Ukraine in 2013/2014 and to understand the factors that influenced involvement.

Description

A comparative study of two cases - Belarus and Ukraine will be conducted. In both countries, which represent the same geographic region, over the last decade popular uprisings took place aimed at changing the course of the country's development - domestic course in the first and foreign policy direction in the second case. In both crises, the international reactions followed, but the level and intensity of national involvement varied. The study will identify the most active external players (countries), the intensity and motivation of their involvement in each case.
