About Study Course
Objective
To ensure the acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills Infection in vascular surgery, in accordance with the requirements of the regulations of the specialty of vascular surgery, in order to prepare the doctor for certification in the specialty of vascular surgeon, in accordance with the regulatory documents of the Republic of Latvia.
Learning outcomes
1.After completing the course, you will be able to know/apply:
- Complication types and their frequency, as well as structure;
-Types of repeated surgery for the reconstructed segment of the prosthesis, stent thrombosis;
-Repeated revascularization at anastomotic aneurysms, stenoses;
- Variants of repeated surgery for prosthesis infection.
1.- Will be able to apply diagnostic methods for prosthesis infection, thrombosis, anastomosis stenoses: dopplerography, CTA, MRA, DSA,
- Will know how to choose adequate tactics for the elimination of complications. You will be oriented in the detection of conventional and modern infectious agents, antibacterial therapy and surgery.
1.Based on the severity of the complication, it will be possible to predict the outcome by applying different treatment methods.
