About Study Course
Objective
To ensure the acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, in accordance with the requirements of the vascular surgery specialty regulations, in order to prepare the doctor for certification in the vascular surgeon specialty, in accordance with the regulatory documents of the Republic of Latvia.
Learning outcomes
1.After completing the course, you will know and be able to apply:
-vascular anatomy in all three most frequent regions of multifocal atherosclerosis,
- will know non-invasive examination methods, the meaning and reasons of false positive results in patients with diabetes, will specify the manifestations of angioplasty,
- preventive measures to be taken for patients with diabetic foot, peculiarities of amputation in diabetes,
- effective revascularization methods and sequence for patients with multifocal atherosclerosis.
1.Will be able to:
- implement a program that continues for many years in the prevention of multifocal atherosclerosis, detection and active monitoring of patients,
-perform and recommend vascular examinations for patients with foot gangrene, phlegmon, diabetes patients.
1.Will be able to:
- choose a treatment strategy for combined or isolated pathologies of arteries and veins, patients with diabetes,
- justifiably apply antimicrobial therapy for vascular revascularizations,
-competently implement and apply modern endovascular treatment methods based on the patient's interests.
