Objective
To provide in-depth knowledge on the treatment of back pain and neuropathic pain caused by radiculopathy, with an emphasis on invasive analgesia methods that can be implemented by a spine surgeon - epidural and periradicular infiltrations, spinal joint blockades and denervations with a thermal or chemical mechanism of action.
Learning outcomes
Knowledge
1.Acquired sufficient theoretical knowledge to understand the nature of invasive analgesia and its purposeful application in clinical work, reducing the risks of complications when performing this treatment.
Skills
1.Independently perform X-ray targeted epidural and facet joint blockades (infiltrations) in the lumbar spine.
Competence
1.Justify the chosen method of invasive analgesia or justify contraindications for one of the methods.
