About Study Course
Objective
Provide oral and maxillofacial surgery residents with the knowledge of modern radiological diagnostic methods (conventional radiology, tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), cone beam computed tomography (KSDT)), the indication of the face, jaw, and neck area and the resulting image diagnostic data interpretation. Knowledge of radiation safety and protection.
Learning outcomes
1.To be able to choose the clinical situation and adequate radiological examination method.
To be able to compare the advantages and disadvantages of different radiological methods used in oral, face, and jaw region.
To be able to compare the informativity of different radiological methods.
Understanding of the specific terms of radiology.
To be able to explain and use in practice the radiation safety and protection principles.
1.To choose and prescribe appropriate radiological investigation method for different clinical situations.
Diagnostic image interpretation.
