About Study Course
Objective
Provide an opportunity to acquire knowledge about the possibilities of radiological methods in the diagnosis of acute and urgent conditions, as well as practical skills, perform a targeted ultrasonographic examination in acute trauma patients (FAST), interpret the obtained results.
Learning outcomes
1.The student will be able to: describe imaging methods, explain the principles of operation of diagnostic devices, how to prepare a patient for an examination, formulate indications and contraindications for radiological examinations, as well as interpret the results of the examination.
1.The student will be able to: independently perform ultrasonography examinations for acute trauma patients according to a certain protocol (FAST), will be able to evaluate the indications and results of the examination; will be able to choose the most informative urgent examination for each pathology (RTG, CT, MR, US) and evaluate the result; will be able to use the radiologist's conclusion to draw up an optimal further examination and treatment plan in an emergency situation.
