Objective

To acquire knowledge in oral anatomy that can be useful in clinical periodontology.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Knowledge in local anesthetic failures, side effects, and complications due to anatomical variations;
Knowledge in clinical anatomy of primary, secondary, and tertiary odontogenic inflammation;
Knowledge in pathways of dental infection.

Skills

1.Is able to anatomically explain the chosen technique of local anesthesia given in a particular clinical situation;
Is able to understand the clinical anatomy in the region of the face and jaws, including a variety of systems in the region.

Competence

1.Uses the acquired knowledge in clinical practice.
