Objective

To ensure acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in otorhinolaryngology according to the requirements of sport medicine physicians’ specialty. To deepen theoretical knowledge and practical skills in patient assessment, supervision, application of medical technologies, diagnostic and therapeutic manipulations.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Knowledge of mutual interconnection of sports medicine as a multidisciplinary field of medicine and othorhynolaryngology. Theoretical and practical knowledge of the functioning of ears, throat, vocal cords, nose and vestibular system during rest and physical load, different hearing disorders, prevention, diagnostics, dynamics of the most commont otorhinolaryngological diseases, treatment methods of acute sports injuries of these organs and individually adjusted physical activity to such patients, as well as physical activity restrictions.

Skills

1.Ability to reasonably select the most suitable examination methods in case of diseases or injuries, assess examination results and prepare a treatment plan for patients in the field of othorhynolaryngology, awareness on the measures to be taken in acute situations at the prehospital stage.

Competence

1.Competence in solving different clinical cases, diagnosis, etiopathogenesis, treatment, prevention and care.
