Objective

To ensure acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in functional diagnostics in sports according to the requirements of sport medicine physicians’ specialty.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Knowledge of mutual interconnection of sports medicine as a multidisciplinary field of medicine and functional diagnostics in sport. Acquisition of thorough theoretical and practical knowledge regarding functioning of the body during rest and physical load, knowledge about prevention, diagnosis, treatment methods of different common diseases, physical activities individually adjusted to such patients, restrictions of physical activity.

Skills

1.Skills to purposefully choose the most suitable examination methods in case of diseases or trauma, assess examination results and develop a treatment plan for different patients.

Competence

1.Competence in solving different clinical cases, diagnosis, etiopathogenesis, treatment, prevention and care.
