About Study Course
Objective
To ensure acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in invasive radiology according to the requirements of the thoracic surgery speciality regulations to prepare doctors for certification in the speciality of thoracic surgery according to regulatory documents of the Republic of Latvia.
Learning outcomes
1.Able to demonstrate advanced or extended knowledge and understanding of the technology of radiological examination of patients with pulmonary pathology; invasive diagnostic tactics.
1.Able to independently apply theory, methods and problem-solving skills to perform highly qualified professional functions.
Able to justify, explain and discuss complicated or systemic aspects of the respective scientific or professional area.
Able to independently drive the improvement of one’s competences and specialisation;
1.Able to independently formulate and critically analyse complicated scientific and professional problems, to substantiate decisions, and to conduct additional analysis, if needed.
Able to integrate knowledge from different fields, make a contribution to the creation of new knowledge, to demonstrate understanding and ethical responsibility for the potential impact of professional activity.
