About Study Course
Objective
To acquire scientifically substantiated basic knowledge of the importance of nutrition in the context of physical exercise by promoting understanding of the effects of nutrition on physical health, recovery processes and preservation of health. The course looks at the body’s energy supply systems during exercise, the importance of nutrients and fluids at different types of exercise, as well as the method of determining body composition and the principles of weight regulation for physically active people. Aspects of the use of sports supplements and anti-doping issues are also being looked at. The course promotes awareness of the importance of nutrition in physical activity while emphasizing the limits of professional competence in providing nutrition advice.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, as well as understanding physiological aspects of exercise. A general understanding of basic dietary principles and the importance of key nutrients in the human body is desirable.
Learning outcomes
1.Students are able to present general knowledge of the importance of nutrition in the case of different physical loads
1.Students know how to apply nutrient planning to a particular sport
1.Students are able to calculate the energy consumption of different sports and choose the appropriate diet
