About Study Course
Objective
The course aims to introduce students to the principles of audiovisual arts-based research, including study elements, methods and ethical principles. Students learn a variety of theoretical and practical methods to conduct creative research, as well as present research results according to academic standards.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of communication science, academic research methods and the creation of audiovisual works.
Learning outcomes
1.Students learn in depth the basic principles of research based on audiovisual arts, including study elements, application of methods and presentation of results in accordance with academic requirements. They navigate a variety of approaches that can be used to build research-based films, video art and video essays such as autoethnography, participatory and collective methods, perspectives on feminism, postcolonialism and posthumanism, as well as experimental methods and approaches based on the latest technologies.
1.Students are able to independently select a topical topic in the communication sciences sector and develop a research project based on audiovisual arts. They know how to articulate research questions, choose appropriate methodologies and technical solutions to innovate the implementation of a short film, a video art work, or a video essay. Students shall be able to present the results obtained in accordance with academic requirements and research standards, as well as demonstrate a high level of competence in solving complex problems that may arise during the development of the study. Students are able to perform academic activities by ensuring the application of the scientific approach and method at different stages of the study.
1.Students are able to independently develop and implement research based on audiovisual arts by selecting appropriate research methods and managing projects that are in line with the latest trends in the industry. They are competent to lead creative projects, as well as being able to effectively present and disseminate research results using suitable platforms. Students are aware of the impact of their professional activities on society and the environment and to act in accordance with industry ethical standards. Students are academically prepared, able to develop quality final Papers and carry out research paper in accordance with academic standards and requirements.
