Aim
Description
The project is being implemented in cooperation with the Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis. The project plans to support at least 39 doctoral students and candidates for scientific degrees whose doctoral theses contribute to the development of Latvia's smart specialisation strategy. Within the framework of the doctoral grant, it is planned to award funding on a competitive basis to cover remuneration and research expenses in order to carry out research related to the successful development of the doctoral study process, doctoral thesis or theoretical research and artistic creative work. As a result of the doctoral grants, at least 25% of the grant recipients will obtain a doctoral degree in science, and at least 9.75 full-time equivalent new research positions will be created at RSU. Equality, inclusion, non-discrimination and respect for fundamental rights will be observed when awarding doctoral grants.
