About Study Course
Objective
To provide students with an understanding of the latest scientific aspects of sleep and recovery in the context of the performance of athletes and physically active people by promoting the practical utilisation of knowledge gained about the physiological aspects of sleep and recovery strategies, developing capacity to develop recovery planning content for athletes and physically active people, integrating the latest technologies and addressing regeneration challenges in diverse situations in sport.
Prerequisites
General or vocational secondary education, including subjects of the natural sciences profile: biology, anatomy.
Learning outcomes
1.Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the nature, structure of sleep and its role in the recovery of athletes and physically active people.
1.Assess sleep quality and recovery process using traditional and current technological tools.
1.Develop the content of a personal recovery optimization plan by critically evaluating the application of the latest technologies and methods, addressing specific sleep and recovery problems of physically active people.
