Cabinet of Ministers awards Letter of Recognition to Professor Jānis Gardovskis, Chairman of the RSU Senate

In anticipation of Latvia’s Proclamation Day on 18 November, outstanding professionals in the fields of research and education will receive government awards. On 28 October 2025, the government approved the proposal of the Ministry of Education and Science to present Letters of Recognition.

Among the recipients is Professor Dr. habil. med. Jānis Gardovskis (pictured), Chairman of the Senate of Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) and Head of the Department of Surgery at the RSU Faculty of Medicine, who will receive a Letter of Recognition for his significant contribution to the development of surgery and medical science in Latvia.
