Rector acknowledges the contribution of Professors Jānis Gardovskis and Andris Jumtiņš to hospital boards

Yesterday, 27 January, the Rector of Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU), Prof. Aigars Pētersons, formally expressed his gratitude to the Chair of the Senate, Prof. Dr habil. med. Jānis Gardovskis, and to the Head of the Department of Orthopaedics at the RSU Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Andris Jumtiņš, for their high-quality and responsible work in representing RSU’s interests on hospital boards.

Prof. Gardovskis was involved in the work of the Board of the North Kurzeme Regional Hospital, while Prof. Jumtiņš contributed to the governance of Daugavpils Regional Hospital. The contributions of both colleagues as board members are significant for the development and strategic direction of these healthcare institutions.

On the same day, Prof. Gardovskis also received a Letter of Commendation awarded by the Cabinet of Ministers for his significant contribution to the development of Latvian surgery and medical science.

We congratulate Professor Jānis Gardovskis and Professor Andris Jumtiņš on this high recognition and thank them for their significant contribution.
