Objective

The aim of the study course is to develop students at Master’s level understanding of the current issues of international business regulation and the legal risks related to entrepreneurship, paying particular attention to European Union law, regulation of international merchandise sales, cross-border employment employment law, dispute resolution mechanisms in international trade, regulation of artificial intelligence, as well as the current developments of intellectual property rights and personal data protection regulation, while developing students’ ability to analyse international business situations, identify legal risks and offer legally sound solutions in business practices.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of the basics of law as well as an understanding of the principles of business activity in an international environment are necessary.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Students learn the basic principles of international business regulation, the role of European Union law in entrepreneurship, international product sales regulation, aspects of labour law in cross-border employment, basic principles of competition law in entrepreneurship, dispute resolution mechanisms in international transactions, as well as current regulatory issues in the use of artificial intelligence, protection of intellectual property and processing of personal data in entrepreneurship.

Skills

1.Students develop the ability to analyse international business situations, identify legal risks, interpret applicable international and European Union law, and prepare legally sound solutions to business practices.

Competence

1.Students are able to independently assess the legal risks of international business, make informed decisions in difficult business situations and integrate regulation of different legal sectors into the international business environment.
