About Study Course
Objective
Promote the development of professional competences of students in the acquisition and teaching of techniques for sports games (basketball, handball) by developing skills to plan and organise sports classes, taking into account individual opportunities of learners and learning outcomes to be achieved. As part of the course, students also acquire theoretical knowledge of the rules of sports games and the application of techniques in competition situations.
Prerequisites
The foundations of sports pedagogy and sports training theory, as well as general knowledge of the organisation, basic rules and techniques of sports games. Understanding the effects of exercise on the human body.
Learning outcomes
1.Describes the development of sports games (basketball and handball) in Latvia and the world.
1.Demonstrate and apply basic techniques of basketball and handball in practice.
1.Independently plan and manage the learning process of sports games (basketball and handball), tailored to the individual needs and learning goals of learners.
