About Study Course
Objective
To deepen the students’ understanding of the legal and ethical framework for the psychologist’s activity and to develop ethical sensitivity and skills needed for solution of ethical dilemmas, including documenting own activities. To develop understanding of entrepreneurship in the profession of a psychologist. To develop skills of applying legal and ethical principles in case studies of dilemmas in psychology. To develop understanding of the responsibility of a psychologist in solving legal and ethical issues.
Prerequisites
Knowledge acquired during the Bachelor’s degree programme related to the psychologist’s professional activity and ethics.
Learning outcomes
1.Students describe the principles of the legal framework of professional activities.
1.Apply knowledge to analyse the Code of Ethics and legal norms and to solve ethical issues in the professional work of psychologists, apply the steps for solving ethical dilemmas.
1.Students comply with the regulation of the professional activity and the Code of Ethics to organise their practical work and to handle the existent situations within the practice. They adhere to the Code of Ethics for Psychologists and regulatory documents regulating the field of psychology.
