Objective

To enhance knowledge and facilitate the acquisition of project management skills, based on Prince2 and Agile methodologies, as well as the work practices of international companies in applying these methods. It aims to develop and implement new products, services, or solutions that meet the company's needs and specified requirements.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Students will acquire the following knowledge as a result of the course:
1. Understand the essence of PRINCE2 and Agile project management methodologies and their main differences.
2. Understand the stages of the project life cycle and their objectives within the PRINCE2 and Agile methodologies.
3. Understand the roles and responsibilities of team members in PRINCE2 and Agile project management approaches.
4. Understand the principles of project organisation, planning, and risk assessment in accordance with PRINCE2.
5. Understand the principles of developing a project vision, creating a product backlog, assessing team capacity, and developing a release plan within the Agile framework.

Skills

1.Students will acquire the following skills as a result of the course:
1. Select the most appropriate project management approach (PRINCE2 or Agile) according to the basic needs of a specific project.
2. Plan and structure the stages of project development and implementation in accordance with the basic principles of the chosen methodology.
3. Prepare basic project documentation in accordance with the PRINCE2 or Agile approach (a project vision, a high-level project plan, a Product Backlog, a release plan, etc.).
4. Apply the basic principles of risk management, quality control, and monitoring during project implementation.
5. Collaborate with project team members and stakeholders, facilitating effective information exchange and teamwork.

Competence

1.Students will develop the following competences as a result of the course:
1. Be able to justify the choice of an appropriate project management approach (PRINCE2 or Agile) according to the basic needs of the project or organisation.
2. Be able to participate in project development from idea to implementation plan and formulate the basic project requirements.
3. Be able to identify the key aspects of project planning, risk management, and quality management, and propose justified improvements for achieving project objectives.
4. Be able to work effectively in a project team, collaborating with stakeholders and adapting to changes in the work situation.
5. Be able to discuss possible solutions for achieving project objectives and contribute to proposing improvements in team performance.
