Frequently asked questions
Don't know how to dance?
Perfect. That's where most people start. The ballroom dance classes require no previous dance experience, just come ready to learn, move and try something new.
Already know some ballroom steps?
Come anyway. You'll refresh the basics and dance with confidence at the RSU Academic Ball.
Do I need a dance partner to take part?
No. Come on your own!
May I bring my partner or spouse?
Yes. Each RSU student may bring one guest, even if they don't study at RSU. [Add your guest in the registration form.]
Don't know anyone?
That's the best reason to come. You'll meet students from different faculties and countries, and by the end of the first evening you'll know a few names and a few steps.
May I join in at a later stage?
Yes. You can join after the classes have started, for example after winter exams, if there are still free places in the group and the group's appropriate level of dance skills.
What does it cost?
Nothing. The RSU Foundation ballroom dance classes are free of charge.
