Ethics Committee
The Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Ethics Committee works to uphold and integrate the core principles of the RSU Code of Ethics —human dignity, justice, integrity, collegiality, and responsible behaviour— into all aspects of university life.
Its primary functions include:
- Advising the University on ethical policies and compliance with legal standards through continual review of the RSU Code of Ethics
- Addressing ethical concerns, complaints, and potential violations of the RSU Code of Ethics raised by staff and students
- Promoting a culture of ethical responsibility through ethics and equity training for staff and students.

Matters related to medical research involving human participants and/or their data are handled by the Research Ethics Committee.
The current composition of the Ethics Committee was approved by the RSU Senate on 27 June 2023.
