Information, Bibliography, and Information Literacy

Main tasks

• To provide information and bibliographic services (bibliographic references, consultations on the use of resources) to the Library's patrons;
• To create bibliographic lists of information resources;
• To encourage the use of bibliographic resources by patrons, incl. Latvian health professionals' information literacy about the Library's services, as well as open access publishing;
• To ensure that the data in the RSU Scientific Activity Information System (ZDIS Pure) of published works by RSU scientific and academic staff is edited and validated;
• To provide training and support for ZDIS Pure user;
• To provide research information support to RSU scientific and academic staff, from the inception of a research idea to the dissemination of research results;
• To provide Library patrons with information sources that are not available in the Library's collection through the interlibrary or international interlibrary loan system;
• To contribute to the development of information literacy teaching resources.
