Dear colleagues,

My name is Ieva Puzo, and I am a postdoctoral researcher at Rīga Stradiņš University. I am a cultural anthropologist whose current research project aims to investigate the experience of transnational academic mobility among early- and mid-career researchers. As part of my comparative study, I aim to examine how international researchers in Latvia and Japan make sense of the working conditions at Latvian / Japanese research institutions, how they understand their career trajectories, and how they envision their work and personal futures.

It is for this reason that I would appreciate the opportunity to meet you—on a digital platform—for a conversation about your experiences in Latvia or Japan. The interview may take about an hour, and I will be happy to "meet" at a time of your preference.

You do not have to answer questions with which you are not comfortable and may withdraw from the interview at any moment. You will not be identified by name in any texts that will rely on information obtained in this interview.

Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you.
