Professor Lerner (Israel) Gives Guest Lecture at the Department of Orthopaedics

Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) has a long-term cooperation with the Department of Orthopaedics at Bar-Ilan University in Israel. As part of this cooperation, Alexander Lerner, MD PhD, who is a Professor at the Azrieli Faculty of Medicine and the Head of the Orthopaedic Department at Ziv Medical Center, gave a guest lecture on 16 June this year at the RSU Department of Orthopaedics on “Damage control orthopaedics of armed conflict and disasters injuries to the extremities” as part of the Erasmus+ programme.
Prof. Lerner is one of the foremost authorities in the treatment of the armed conflict injuries and complex trauma to the extremities, author of four books and many international publications.
