Research Breakfast focuses on postdoctoral research that translates into real-world solutions
On 4 March, the focus of the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Research Breakfast was on postdoctoral grants and the opportunities they offer emerging scientists to develop research and promote the practical application of scientific knowledge.
Several talented RSU scientists presented their postdoctoral research at the event.
Kristīne Šneidere introduced the development of the Riga cognitive screening test, which is designed for the early detection of cognitive impairment. Aija Bukova-Žideļūna analysed the risks of falls and frailty in an aging society, while Alisa Kazarina presented her research on the use of the salivary microbiome for the early diagnosis of periodontitis.
The March Research Breakfast was dedicated to the postdoctoral grants realised as part of Project no. KPVIS 5.2.1.1.i.0/2/24/I/CFLA/005 RSU internal and RSU with LASE external consolidation.
