On 5 February 2026, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) signed a memorandum of cooperation with three organisations that are important to the RSU community in order to strengthen a unified approach to philanthropy, student support, and graduate engagement initiatives.

The memorandum was signed by RSU Rector Prof. Aigars Pētersons, Chair of the RSU Foundation Dace Gardovska, Head of the RSU Student Union Kristiana Jurkevica, and Chair of the RSU Alumni Association Egita Pole.

The memorandum of cooperation confirms the common goal of promoting the development of higher education and scientific activity, and supporting various educational, scientific, cultural, health promotion, and sports activities at RSU, providing support to students and employees, as well as RSU graduates.

In the document, the parties have agreed to cooperate in the implementation of various projects, regularly exchange information on possible areas of cooperation, jointly invite graduates to join the RSU Alumni Association and support its activities.

The memorandum also provides for cooperation in the process of awarding RSU patron scholarships.

The memorandum forms a clear framework for coordinated action and shared responsibility to purposefully streamline the culture of philanthropy, strengthen student support opportunities, and promote the sense of belonging and participation of graduates in RSU life.
