Spooky Halloween escape room adventure
At the beginning of October, the Career Guidance and Wellbeing Centre at Riga Stradiņš university (RSU) launched an escape room experience with a Halloween theme for the first time. The event was organised by the Social support team to make campus life more engaging and give students an opportunity to challenge themselves in a fun and immersive way.
The escape room was available for bookings for one hour at a time over a four-week period and was located in the staff office space, Room K-103. Interest from both staff and students was high, all the available times were quickly booked.
"The escape room was organised at RSU for the first time and the student interest surprised us,"
explains Social support administrator Patrīcija Melānija Manteja. "It seems we could have offered it for two months straight and the calendar would have still been full of bookings. This interest alone proves that we have found a new and in demand activity, one that not only entertains students between lectures but also trains concentration, sharpens the mind and, on top of that, allows them to have fun.”
Student feedback
- Thank you for the event!
- This kind of quest idea, I think, is very good and interesting. I would like something similar in a Christmas - themed version too.
- Please keep organizing events like this! Fantastic!
- Great event, good atmosphere and a fantastic way to spend free time with classmates and get closer to each other.
- It was fun!
- Thanks! More of these kinds of events, great opportunity to spend time with course mates outside of studies.
- Overall, it was well organised and very fun. The lights, the décor and the story - everything was perfect. Thank you for organising it.
The Career Guidance and Wellbeing Centre at RSU will continue to organise other events of interest to students.
