Trial databases

The Estonian company Synbase offers to trial evidence-based clinical databases for healthcare professionals.

Currently, drug interaction and side effect databases are available in Latvian, the rest of the content is still in English.

The Synbase platform includes the following databases.

Drug databases:

  • data on packages registered in the Latvian Medicines Register;
  • interaction and side effect database;
  • use of drugs in patients with kidney and/or liver disorders;
  • use of drugs in pregnant and breastfeeding women;
  • cross-allergy database;
  • herbal preparations database.

Treatment guideline databases:

  • database of international evidence-based treatment guidelines (EBMG – Evidence Based Medical Guidelines);
  • image bank, video materials and audio recordings;
  • evidence-based summaries database (Evidence Summaries).

The Synbase platform also has various clinical calculators and several questionnaires.

Users are identified by their RSU computer system IP addresses, only from computers in RSU buildings. To use remote access, academic staff and students must register with their personal ID number and RSU email address on the Synbase platform from the IP address connection. After that, they can also work with the databases remotely from anywhere for 3 months, logging in with their personal ID number.

!!! A webinar on using the Synbase databases will take place on Teams platform on April 28 at 15:00-16:00.
The webinar will be conducted in English by Synbase representatives.
