World-renowned orthopaedic surgeon Prof. Gerald Eliot Wozasek visits RSU to give a lecture on limb reconstruction
On 9 May, Prof. Gerald Eliot Wozasek (Department of Orthopaedics, Traumatology and Sports Medicine, Medical University of Vienna, Austria) gave a lecture on limb lengthening in complex fractures with extensive bone loss, as well as on winter sports-related multiligament knee injuries and their treatment challenges, in the Bieziņš Lecture Room at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU).

Prof. Gerald Eliot Wozasek is one of the world’s most prominent orthopaedic surgeons, with many years of experience in the treatment of posttraumatic limb deformity and reconstruction, sports injuries, and arthroscopic surgery. He is the author of 249 scientific publications. The professor has conducted training courses and performed limb reconstruction surgeries in numerous countries worldwide, including Sarajevo (Bosnia), Israel, Turkey, and the US. Prof. Wozasek is also the team doctor for the Austrian National Ski Team.
