Objective

Develop in-depth knowledge and skills of doctoral students in qualitative research, and improve the competence of doctoral students to integrate the opportunities offered by qualitative research within the subject matter of their doctoral thesis in a scientifically correct way.

Completed study course Qualitative research methods I.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.After completing the course, will be able to explain the conditions and contexts of the development of scientific categories of qualitative research, the problems of research design and data collection methods in the context of the scientific field and research topic, the problems of qualitative research data analysis and the factors influencing the choice of approach. To analyze the main approaches to the classification of qualitative research quality criteria.

Skills

1.Will be able to model the scientific categories of qualitative research, the methods of qualitative data collection and analysis, the general principles of participant selection and the specifics of their application for your doctoral thesis. Critically evaluate the designs, methods of data acquisition, processing and analysis used in the research, select the high-quality qualitative research needed for your research.

Competence

1.The student will be able to develop a high-quality research project, according to the topic/field of his doctoral thesis, demonstrating his literature analysis and will be able to synthesize abilities, the ability to substantiate the relevance of the research, the problem, formulate the goal and research question/s, will be able to choose suitable data collection and analysis, critically evaluate the research limitations of the project and substantiate the scientific strength of the research.
