EIT Health Hub
In 2018 RSU joined the Regional Innovation Scheme in the area of health managed by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology's Health Knowledge and Innovation Community (EIT Health). Currently the University serves as the EIT Health Hub in Latvia.
The goal of the hub is to enhance health innovation capacity in Latvia. Its activities seek to engage various regional stakeholders in EIT Health programmes and develop regional innovation eco-system through the integrated knowledge triangle model.
EIT Health, a European public-private partnership in the area of healthcare, was established by more than 150 partners representing the leading European companies, universities, research and development centres, hospitals and other organizations. The role of this partnership is to build a future healthcare eco-system that will enable European citizens to live longer and healthier lives. EIT Health upgrades the skills of healthcare professionals throughout Europe by investing in Europe's best talents and facilitates the commercialisation of innovative health products/solutions within the EU.

The first EIT Health Morning Health Talks of the year took place on 14 June 2023. The topic of this talk was medical professional training for smart healthcare practice.
On September 9 2022, the EIT Health Hub participated in the Startup Day forum organised by the Latvian startup association Startin.LV. The presentations outlined the opportunities for start-ups that EIT Health offers.
On 30 June 2022, the first of the EIT Health Morning Health Talks of 2022 took place. The topic of this talk was the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on digital health care.
