Ethics Committee
The Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Ethics Committee works to uphold and integrate the core principles of the Code of Academic Ethics—human dignity, justice, integrity, collegiality, and responsible behaviour— into all aspects of university life.
Primary functions
- Advising the University on ethical policies and compliance with legal standards through continual review of the Code of Academic Ethics
- Addressing ethical concerns, complaints, and potential violations of the Code of Academic Ethics raised by staff and students
- Promoting a culture of ethical responsibility through ethics and equity training for staff and students

Matters related to medical research involving human participants and/or their data are handled by the Research Ethics Committee.
The current composition of the Ethics Committee was approved by the RSU Senate on 27 June 2023.
