About Study Course
Objective
To provide students with the theoretical education and acquisition of practical skills necessary for the work of a physiotherapist with persons who have the effects of movement and support system diseases, acquired or congenital deformities and injuries. Tasks: During training, give students basic knowledge of the most common orthopaedic diseases in medical practice, their clinical manifestations, diagnostic and treatment principles, potential rehabilitation options. Develop an idea of the specific features of the development of orthopaedic diseases in children and differences in treatment from adult orthopaedics. Introduce more common orthopaedic diseases in children and congenital abnormalities in the development of the support-motion system, their aetiology, pathogenesis, clinical picture, diagnosis and treatment. Learn basic principles for the diagnosis and treatment of orthopaedic diseases in children.
Prerequisites
Good knowledge of anatomy and physiology, basic knowledge of Latin, neurology and radiography.
Learning outcomes
1.● Demonstrate comprehensive and healthcare-specific basic knowledge of the most common orthopaedic diseases in medical practice, their clinical manifestations, diagnostic and treatment principles, potential rehabilitation opportunities and their implementation.
1.● formulate and analytically describe the main principles of treatment and rehabilitation for each orthopaedic pathology;
● apply knowledge and skills independently in drawing up a rehabilitation and physiotherapy plan;
1.● formulate and analyse the necessary radiological examinations and will be able to independently discuss and substantiate the case;
● demonstrate a strategic and analytical approach to evaluating a patient’s overall condition and orthopaedic problems, prioritize them.
