X-Ray Diagnostics (LSPA_265)
About Study Course
Objective
Students will be presented with visual diagnostic methods, their guiding principles and opportunities for the diagnosis of various clinical - morphological pathologies, using the latest developments in this field as well as radiological protection guidelines. Lectures and seminars are intended to teach students to navigate visual diagnostic images of different organ systems, with a particular focus on musculoskeletal and trauma radiology. In seminars, students will become acquainted and participate in the performance and analysis of visual diagnostic methods. Tasks: 1. Provide students with knowledge of visual diagnostic methods (rentegnography, computed tomography, magnetic resonance, musculoskeletal ultrasonography, vascular doplerography,) basic principles of its operation, indications. 2. Provide knowledge of traumatic damage, degenerative changes and tactics of the musculoskeletal system in disease diagnosis. 3. Provide basic knowledge in the practical operation of each radiological investigation.
Prerequisites
Dynamic anatomy, the fundamentals of physics.
Learning outcomes
1.Will gain knowledge of traumatic, degenerative changes in the knee, hip, foot joints, diagnostic options, indications and consequences.
Able to discuss radiological diagnostic possibilities, operational principles.
1.Able to recognise and discuss physiological changes in the spine, congenital and acquired diseases, diagnosis, treatment and consequences.
1.Able to analytically discuss an examination in rentegnography, computed tomography, magnetic resonance, musculoskeletal ultrasonography, vascular doplerography analysis, acquiring practical skills, and to discuss with specialists, non-specialists.
