Objective

Manage, coordinate and ensure acute patient care, evaluate health conditions and diagnostic outcomes, participate in treatment, provide clinical procedures and emergency medical care, use evidence-based technologies. Action to be based on people-centred and compassionate care. Be responsible for your professional performance, lead clinical teams and promote the development of healthcare practices.

Prerequisites

Assessment and diagnosis of health status; Provision and management of acute and chronic patient care; Education, counselling and health promotion; Clinical procedures and emergency medical assistance in the practice of extended competency nurses.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.Student develops knowledge of basic tasks of nurse working at secondary healthcare level, principles of patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment and organisation of care, concept of prevention and preventive measures, basic principles of medical and social rehabilitation, concept of health promotion and principles .

Skills

1.Student plans, performs and evaluates the assessment, diagnosis, treatment measures and patient care of patients of all age groups in a secondary healthcare institution.

Competence

1.Student is able to assess indications, contraindications and side effects of treatment, autonomously take a decision to perform therapeutic interventions using evidence-based action algorithms, prescribe and prescribe medications and medical devices in the specific clinical situation, in compliance with the requirements of regulatory enactments.
