About Study Course
Objective
To ensure acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills according to the requirements of the geriatrician specialty and related to changes in the skin and sensory organ systems with ageing and diseases in elderly patients.
To provide the opportunity to acquire relevant knowledge, skills and competences needed in geriatric practice to deal with issues related to skin and sensory organ diseases in the elderly.
Learning outcomes

- The most common eye diseases in the elderly.
- Cataract, glaucoma, pink eye, eye injuries.
- Hearing changes with ageing.
- ENT pathology in the elderly.
- Skin changes and the most common dermatological diseases in the elderly.
1.- Applying a vision test.
- Applying a hearing test.
- Visually assessing the patient’s skin condition.
1.- To differentiate between the patient’s subjective complaints of changes in vision and hearing.
- To assess the objective condition requiring urgent specialist advice.
