About Study Course
Objective
To ensure the acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills according to the requirements of the specialty of a geriatrician and related to oncological diseases in geriatric patients.
To provide the opportunity to acquire the relevant knowledge, skills and competences necessary for geriatric practice in the diagnosis, treatment, screening and prevention of oncological diseases.
Learning outcomes
1.-Incidence of oncological diseases in geriatric population;
-Features of oncological and onco-haematological diseases in geriatrics;
-Most frequent oncological pathologies in the elderly.
1.-Assessment of the patient’s health status. Drawing up an examination plan;
-Use of appropriate examinations and oncomarkers for clarification of an oncological diagnosis;
-Analysis and interpretation of examination results;
-Appropriate formulation of the diagnosis.
1.-Differentiate potential oncological pathologies in the elderly.
-Motivate patients to participate in the screening programmes of oncological diseases.
-Define logically and explain further treatment tactics for a patient with oncological disease.
