About Study Course
Objective
Provide oral, facial, and maxillofacial surgery residents with knowledge of vascular pathologies, emergency assistance in case of vascular thrombosis, thrombus removal operations, and vascular reconstructive and prosthetic operations.
Learning outcomes
1.Determines and is able to evaluate, diagnose and coordinate treatment in acute cases of vein and artery blockages, and provide emergency assistance. Provide emergency care in cases of major vascular injuries. Interpret radiological findings in cases of aneurysms and A-V malformations, and recommends the necessary treatment.
1.Exposition of vein.
Ligation of the artery.
Puncture of the artery.
Vein suturing.
Artery suturing.
Placing of tourniquet.
Placement of vascular clips.
Harvest of vein transplant.
1.Competent in the diagnosis of venous and arterial thrombosis. Competent to provide emergency aid and refer the patient to a vascular surgeon for further treatment. Competent to choose the right method of vascular reconstruction in patients with head and neck tumors.
