About Study Course
Objective
To ensure the acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in neurotraumatology in accordance with the requirements of the regulations of the specialty of oral, facial and maxillofacial surgery, in order to prepare the doctor for certification in the specialty of oral, facial and maxillofacial surgery.
Learning outcomes
1.Knowledge is acquired on the symptomatology, diagnosis, indications for surgical treatment, as well as the principles of diagnostic and therapeutic methods (surgery). Knowledge of operative surgical techniques in patients with skeletal and brain injuries. The student will be familiar with the aetiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis and surgical treatment of the most common brain tumours. The student will be able to apply the acquired knowledge in clinical practice.
1.Be able to examine patients with traumatic CNS injury and provide emergency care. Be able to interpret radiological examinations. Be able to assess the need for neurosurgeon involvement.
1.The doctor, using the acquired knowledge and skills, is able to independently practice in oral and maxillo-facial surgeon's specialty, self-critically evaluate the results of their work, follow doctor's ethics, conduct the clinical scientific research, participate in the training of colleagues and self-education on a regular basis to improve their professional capacity.
