About Study Course
Objective
During the study course, the medical resident learns about the subject, methods, tasks and goals of infectious disease epidemiology, the ecological and epidemiological classification of infectious diseases, the structure of the epidemic process, the description of the characteristics of the epidemic process: morbidity, endemicity, long-term periodic and annual seasonal fluctuations of the epidemic process, as well as the regularities of territorial incidence. About the procedure for the accounting and registration of infectious diseases, the goals, tasks and algorithms of the epidemiologic investigation of the focal point of infectious diseases.
Learning outcomes
1.As a result of completing the study course, the medical resident will obtain knowledge about the subject, methods, tasks and goals of infectious disease epidemiology, the ecological and epidemiological classification of infectious diseases, the structure of the epidemic process, the description of the characteristics of the epidemic process: morbidity, endemicity, long-term periodic and annual seasonal fluctuations of the epidemic process, as well as the regularities of territorial incidence, procedures for the accounting and registration of infectious diseases, on the principles of epidemiological investigation of a case of contracting the disease.
1.As a result of completing the study course, the medical resident will be able to register infectious diseases, perform an epidemiological investigation of a case of contracting the disease, determine the boundaries of the epidemic focal point for the organisation of anti-epidemic measures.
1.As a result of completing the study course, the medical resident will achieve competence and will be able to independently register information about cases of contracting the disease and conduct an epidemiological investigation of a case of contracting the disease.
