About Study Course
Objective
To provide opportunities to deepen theoretical knowledge of vascular diseases and injuries and to develop practical skills to provide highly skilled emergency medical care when needed.
Learning outcomes
1.Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to list and describe vascular diseases and injuries, their types, course, treatment methods, diagnostics; will be able to describe and justify the choice and course of appropriate treatment methods in each specific case.
1.Know how to do the following:
a) examine a patient with vascular injuries and diseases,
b) evaluate clinical signs in cases of vascular diseases and injuries and plan the necessary additional examination to clarify the diagnosis,
c) interpret the obtained examination results in order to choose an appropriate treatment method,
d) provide emergency aid in case of injuries to blood vessels,
e) make a puncture of veins and arteries,
f) ligate the peripheral venous knot,
g) perform a peripheral blood vessel suture.
1.Are able to do the following:
a) formulate the diagnosis accurately,
b) differential diagnosis of diseases,
c) develop a treatment plan appropriate to the pathology by analysing the findings,
d) evaluate the results of treatment.
